Mid term paragraph

In my video I am showing that I know how to use prefix classifiers.  I used this in the beginning since we have learned about how to sign half this and half that.  I find it is important in sign language if you are talking about mythical creatures but not for normal daily things.  I get that these are mostly just prefix help and fun and I enjoy them.
Another thing that I have learned in sign language is how to describe king, hair and show the distinction of each person.  I feel my knowledge of sign language is growing class by class.  I know there are a lot of signs that I need to learn but I am doing better every week.
I really enjoy learning about all the mermaids and how to sign mermaid!

Mid term video

Forgive me for when I had to turn my head to cough.  It is the newest thing that my body has decided to throw at me.

Paragraph 6

This week has been AWFUL!  Carl has been sick and so have I.  It makes it hard to concentrate in class when the other group is in the same room and Carl isn't there.  I find it hard to understand what Debbie signs since she goes so quickly but I am glad that the midterm isn't due until monday.  Tuesday was very difficult since we were working on sign building and the people from the other class were getting on my nerves telling us that we didn't know how to sign.  I was tempted to not come on Thursday since the other class isn't as nice as ours.  I was also glad that you were there a little Thursday cause it was helpful to us all.  I hope Carl is better soon as well as us all!

Another week has gone by

This week I was only able to make it to one class because I have been sick this week.  I am looking so forward to finding out if you will be able to make the whole certificate thing work at school.  That would be something that would be useful in any career that deals with people daily.  I am glad that you are working on this at school!

Paragraph 4... Here we gooooooooo

WOW!  This week we have learned alot.  On Monday we learned about different times.  I was so happy since I have been wondering how to sign time and ask what time it is.  We learned so much in just two hours, but it was hard to learn since you would sign one way and the helper would sign a completely different way which none of us understood.  I had hoped that we would go over it the next class but we didn't.  Instead we learned how to sign the days of the week.  I am really hoping we will go over those again next week since I feel like we went through them too quickly and I wasn't able to retain it as quickly.  I am glad that the days of the week are easy to remember.  It is just the months and trying to understand how to explain the next day in regards to the calendar.  Maybe we will get the hang on it next class!

another paragraph

Last week in sign language was kind of rough.  We had a bunch of people in the classroom and I wasn't feeling very well.  I didn't really learn anything this week since we only had one class total.  I feel like all we did was free sign and I was listening to everyone talk around me since there were alot of side conversations. I am glad the next paragraph will explain how much better this last week went.

I would also like to point out I know I haven't posted any videos yet.  I am having issues with the videos and I will get them up as soon as I can.  My computer and I aren't getting along.

Paragraph 2- week two

This week we were learning all kinds of mythical creatures!  We learned mermaid, centar, goat man.  I am learning and noticing that they all have classifiers for each one of them which really helps me understand where to use the classifier.  I am learning that in the smaller classroom we aren't as noisy and therefore it makes a better learning enviroment to learn.  I am also learning that I need to work on free signing again cause I am so out of practice even though I free sign in my car.  I am looking forward to a whole new week of learning classifiers.

Paragraph 1- week one

This week in ASL has been interesting.  We have been working in the theater this week and I have found it harder to concentrate with such a large room.  I have also heard every sound from everyone clearly which made my concentration bobble.  We had a lot of side chatter which was also rough for me to concentrate on what you were trying to teach us.  One thing though that I understood was how there are three types of classifiers: Prefix, suffix and infix.  This was easy for me to understand how to signal them but I was unsure how and when you use each one.  I am looking forward to learning more about how and when to use them.
